The Waterways
The Crystal River flows from its headwaters at the famous crystal-clear springs of Kings Bay and winds its way through more than eight miles of beautiful country before joining with the Gulf of Mexico. The Crystal River/Kings Bay waterway is home to over 400 manatees during the winter season–the only place in the United States where people can legally interact with the manatees in their natural habitat.
Outdoor Recreation
Over a dozen golf courses, fresh and salt water beaches, tennis courts, fishing marinas and numerous other recreational facilities are available within the county. Another main attraction can be found at Three Sisters Spring which draws many tourists looking to kayak through the crystal-clear water while they view the sea life beneath them.
City Highlights
The city of Crystal River offers many fine restaurants and night spots, two hospitals, over 50 churches of faiths, several theaters, shopping centers, a new mall, arts and crafts events, major chain discount stores and service-type businesses to help make your life easy and enjoyable. The cities of Tampa and Orlando, as well as professional sports facilities, major cultural and world-class attractions such as Disney World/Epcot Center, Busch Gardens, Sea World and Cypress Gardens are all within 85 interstate-highway miles of your new home at Crystal River Village.
